An Irish manuscript collection of 17th-century letter and documents.

Fragment of six folios which belongs together with fragments in other MSS held in Durham, C.III.13, ff. 192–195, and C.III.20, ff. 1-2.

A computus manuscript, now lost, which appears to have been consulted by Bede in the library of Jarrow and which is thought to have been an influential resource when he wrote his own computistical treatise De temporum ratione. To an extent, its contents can be reconstructed from an 11th-century copy in the so-called Sirmond manuscript and other, related manuscripts, although the precise extent of the material that can be said to derive from the lost compilation is uncertain. Charles W. Jones originally singled out a narrower set of items (items 13-45 in his catalogue description of the Sirmond manuscript), but on later occasions, revised his opinion.

Lost Irish manuscript of unknown date which according to later colophons, contained a text of Betha Findchua that was copied into the ‘Short book of Ó Buadhacháin’, also lost, and on the basis of the latter, into other manuscripts, including the Book of Lismore.

Hypothetical lost manuscript, perhaps a gospel-book, associated with the Céli Dé monastery of Loch Leven. An old volume of the Scots (veteris voluminis antiquo Scotorum idiomate conscripti) is cited in the St Andrews register as having served as the source for a series of Latin charter records for Loch Leven. The presence of such records added to the margins and available spaces in the Book of Kells and other gospel-books suggests that the Loch Leven manuscript, too, or its source, may have been a gospel-book.

Irish manuscript which includes the Annals of Tigernach.

A missal commonly thought to have been produced in Ireland in the 11th or 12th century. Scholars have attempted to arrive at a more precise date and provenance, with varying conclusions. Much of the discussion has tended to focus on its artistic affinities with other illuminated manuscripts and the relationship of its textual contents to the reform movement of the 12th century, or lack of evidence for this, pointing to an earlier date of the manuscript if not of its texts.

English manuscript compilation of Latin materials on computus, mathematics and other medieval sciences.

Manuscript miscellany containing various texts of scientific and physiological or medicinal interest, including works by Bede (incl. De temporibus and De natura rerum), Galen, Hipocrates, Solinus and Isidore. This compilation, known as Florilegium italicum, is transmitted in two other manuscripts, Cava, Biblioteca Badia, MS 3 and Madrid, Biblioteca Nacional de España, MS 19.

Composite manuscript

Lives and other texts relating to saints of St Gall and Irish saints.

A collection of funerary poems and other pieces in memory of Nicolas-Claude Fabri de Peiresc (d. 1637), written by multiple hands and in a large variety of languages. The poems appeared in print in 1638, in the ‘Panglossia’ section of the Monumentum Romanum edited by Jean-Jacques Bouchard and it is supposed that the manuscript was compiled in preparation for that work. The volume includes a copy, in Gaelic script, of the Irish poem associated with Luke Wadding that appeared on p. 112 of the printed publication.
